10 10–10.5 45-45.5 12 11 29

Archies is an Australian brand offering unisex flip flops and sliders, which can make sizing a little more complex — there is always a slight difference between men's and women's feet within the same size.

When converting from US to UK sizes, Archies label a US 8 as a UK 6–6.5 rather than a straightforward UK 6.

However, in practice the flip flops tend to come up on the smaller side, and in almost every case if you're a 6.5 you'll need to size up to the 7.

We therefore recommend that if you're a half size or between sizes, you size up.

The sliders are noticeably roomier than the flip flops, but the same sizing advice applies.

Just bear in mind that the slider will feel a little looser due to the extra width — this gives a different feel and walking experience compared to the flip flop style.

Skechers Women's Sizing — What You Need to Know

USA UK EU Foot Length
6 3 36 23
7 4 37 24
8 5 38 25
9 6 39 26
10 7 40 27
11 8 41 28

Skechers UK do not supply half sizes.

The way they convert to UK sizes, combined with a generous fit, means that if you're normally a half size or find yourself between sizes, we'd recommend sizing down rather than up — unlike most other brands.

Skechers is an American brand and, like most US footwear labels, their sizes are based on the US sizing system.

Most US brands convert to UK sizes by subtracting 2 (so a US 8 = UK 6). Skechers, however, subtract 3 — meaning a US 8 becomes a UK 5.

This is why Skechers tend to come up on the larger side compared to other brands.

Men's Skechers sizing works slightly differently to women's.

When converting from US to UK sizes, Skechers use a difference of one whole size for men's styles — whereas most other US brands convert closer to half a size.

This means, for example, that what Skechers call a UK 10 is labelled as a EU 45, when in reality it sits closer to a UK 10.5.

Just like the women's range, this is why men's Skechers also tend to come up on the larger side.

The same advice applies: if you are between sizes or normally take a half size, we'd recommend sizing down.

Rieker Women's Sizing — What You Need to Know

36 3 – 3.5 23
37 4 – 4.5 23.5
38 5 24
39 5.5 – 6 24.5
40 6.5 – 7 25
41 7 – 7.5 25.5
42 8 26

Rieker is a German comfort brand and, like most European labels, their shoes are sized in European (EU) sizes.

The difference between a European size and a UK size isn't exact — one EU size is roughly three-quarters of a UK size, which means the conversion doesn't land neatly on a whole or half UK size.

To keep things simple, many brands round up to the nearest UK size, but in practice the true UK equivalent sits closer to a half size down.

For example, a European 39 is closer to a UK 5.5, despite most brands labelling it as a UK 6.

For this reason, if you are between sizes or normally take a half size, we'd recommend sizing up.

Although German brands are often associated with a wider fit, the majority of Rieker's most popular styles are made on a more standard last — and due to the size translation, they can still come up slightly small.

So again, when in doubt, we'd recommend sizing up.

Almost every brand rounds EU 43 up to a UK 9, EU 44 to a UK 10, and EU 45 to a UK 11 — but a more accurate conversion would be 8.5, 9.5, and 10.5 respectively.

For this reason, if you are between sizes or normally take a half size, we'd recommend sizing up.

4 37 4 – 4.5 23.5
5 38 5 24
6 39 5.5 – 6 24.5
7 40 6.5 – 7 25
8 41 7 – 7.5 25.5
9 42 8 – 8.5 26

Many of the brands we stock are made to European sizing and converted to UK sizes — but the conversion isn't exact.

One EU size is roughly three-quarters of a UK size, so the numbers don't always land neatly on a whole or half size.

Most brands round up to the nearest UK size, but the true equivalent often sits half a size lower.

For example, a European 39 is actually closer to a UK 5½, even though it's typically labelled as a UK 6.

If you're between sizes or usually take a half size, we'd recommend sizing up.

New to Arch Support Footwear?

If you're new to arch support, you may notice some initial discomfort as the raised footbed works to push your arch back into its natural position. This is completely normal — and actually a positive sign that it's working.

Because your feet are the foundation of your entire body, correcting your arches has a knock-on effect — gradually helping to realign your ankles, knees, hips, and lower back, and improving your overall posture.

The more your arches have dropped, the more you may feel the support working. Stick with it.

We strongly recommend building up wear gradually:
Day 1 — wear for 1 hour only
Day 2 — increase to 2 hours
After that — wear as long as you like, comfortably
